region of Africa,
only one hour east of Cape Town, lies
the fairest Cape's best kept secret.

The major route is the N2 highway

pastures.The minor route (in excellent
condition) takes visitors from Gordons

from the sea cliffs, to Hermanus before
turning inland.
Visitors

with a unique beauty. The Kogelberg
Biosphere Reserve, situated in

western segment, has been internationally
recognized and registered by UNESCO:

and large number of its flowering
plants, many of which are found nowhere
else in the fynbos biome. Add to this
some of the best and finest landbased
whale watching in the world; in places
one can view these graceful giants
from as close as 30 metres from the
cliff paths.
