Take
a scenic drive from Caledon to Greyton,
better known as the "Jewel of the
Overberg". A winding road of about
39 km will take you there. The road leads
through golden wheatfields and rolling
hills. You can lookout for the famous
Blue Crane bird, South Africa's national
bird and is restricted as a breeding specie
to the Overberg, except for a few pairs
in Swaziland, Namibia and Botswana.
Another
scenic drive is along the R320, from Caledon
towards Hermanus. This route will take
you through the spectacular Hemel-and-Aarde
Valley. It is here that wine lovers can
treat themselves to unique wine tours,
while tasting numerous acclaimed wines.
