Explore the Caledon Wildflower Garden famed for its splendid displays of wildflowers - Namaqualand daisies, gazanias, the beautiful Caledon bluebell, about 135 species of protea and much else. Here you will find charming pathways and wooden bridges, lawns, picnic spots, an ornamental lake, handsome indigenous trees, shrubs, a prolific birdlife and of course the flowers. At the top of the mountain, you will see a fascinating rock formation called The Window. The gardens tea room provides refreshments and visitors can buy plants from the nursery. The garden is open daily from 07h30 to 17h00.

The Caledon Hotel, Casino & Spa features The Outdoor Experience - a programme for corporate team-building exercises, where conference groups may pre-arrange 4 x 4 driving courses, mountain biking, clay-pigeon shooting, paintball shooting, archery, abseiling and a high ropes course.

Voorhoede Farm is situated 5 kilometers outside Caledon and offers many activities for adventure seekers. Among the activities are: trout & carp fishing, 4 x 4 trail, quadbike route (quads can also be rented by groups for guided trips), mountain biking (bikes can also be rented), abseiling at the waterfall, hiking on all farm routes, rowboat, tractor rides, water skiing and picnicking alongside the beautiful dam.

Klein Paradys Equestrian Centre in nearby Bot River (16 km from Caledon) offers a wide variety of different rides - tailored to suit individual abilities and requirements. A very popular ride is through golden wheatfields and over rolling hills to Dassiesfontein for lunch. Meals served at Dassiesfontein are known as traditional "Boerekos". Outrides are suitable for inexperienced or experienced riders.

Visit the nearby town of Hermanus, traveling through the Hemel-and-Aarde Valley. Hermanus is known for the best land-based whale watching in the world.
